Tethering Draining My iPhone 3G

Since upgrading to my iPhone 3G to iOS 4.x, battery drains when tethered to my laptop by Bluetooth, rather than charging.Bluetooth tetheringiPhone connected to laptop via USB cableLaptop plugged into A.C.I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this?
